Popis vozidla
Chassis no. AR2196486
Engine no. AR00536*23407*
Completed in 2022 this example underwent a comprehensive restoration near Benevento - roughly an hour inland from Pompeii and Naples. Documentation of the work, including some invoices and a selection of photographs, is included in the accompanying history file. The restoration was extensive, covering all avenues including engine, gearbox, rear axle and suspension. Today this 1570cc engine pulls very strongly indeed - not least thanks to some greatly tuned Dellorto DHLA40's. The interior received equal attention, featuring a completely new dashboard, refurbished Jaeger gauges, and fully renewed upholstery in the correct period material - an often-overlooked detail that many restorations get wrong on cars of this type.
The body was largely unmolested prior to restoration, as evidenced by the original spot and seam welds still visible throughout the car. The respray was carried out to a very high standard, with crisp, consistent shutlines and a striking metallic flake in the paintwork - this one truly pops in the daylight! After sourcing, acquiring and transporting her to Maastricht in June 2025, we have carefully gone through the entire car and upgraded it here and there to elevate it to an even higher level: brand new lowered Eibach spring set, brand new 15" GTA-style wheels, fresh set of Tires, correct GTA-style wheelnuts, brand new exhaust system (from the manifold onwards) amongst some minor bits and bobs. Suffice to say, from a mechnaical point of view, this GT is in rude health and presents nothing short of spectacular. She comes complete with the original jack, spare wheel, small toolkit and a single set of keys. Documentation is equally pleasing: a dedicated history file contains a user manual, technical bulletin, ASI report, some invoices & restoration imagery amongst some period registration and miscellaneous documents. Like all our cars, we can supply this motorar on historic Dutch numberplates for the Dutch clients and we ship worldwide as well. So be sure to reach out to us for a quote to wherever you are in the world!
At Garage Maestricht, we know these cars intimately, having sourced, handled and sold numerous examples over the years. Chassis 2196486 stands out as one of the finest we've had the pleasure of getting our hands on. Beautifully restored, mechanically sorted and cosmetically sharp - it's the kind of GT that doesn’t just look the part - it delivers. Whether added to a discerning collection or enjoyed during weekend blasts - this is a car that rewards proper use, not just admiration.
