The Testarossa story traces back to 1973, starting with the Ferrari 365 GT/4 BB and its successor Berlinetta Boxer supercars, which fiercely rivaled Lamborghini up until 1984. The Berlinetta Boxers were fast, strikingly stylish, and had an unforgettable sound. However, they had their challenges: cramped interiors, tricky handling, and intense cabin heat. So, in 1984, Ferrari introduced the Testarossa, a car that was larger, wider, and far more practical. By addressing the 512 BB’s limitations, Ferrari created its first truly ‘world’ car.


As extravagant and unconventional as it looks, the Testarossa is surprisingly more of a refined Grand Tourer than a hard-edged supercar—though it still demands respect. Of those 300 examples, 2 were donated to Universal Television for the famous TV series Miami Vice. Unlike the white models featured in the show, this car is finished in the iconic Rosso Corsa paint. While many enthusiasts would have opted for a Nero leather interior, this Testarossa’s Beige leather seats with a brown leather dashboard represent the ultimate dream specification for true connoisseurs. Just six years after delivery, this Testarossa was already gracing Belgian roads, and it has remained in Belgium ever since. Currently, the car still has an exceptionally low mileage of just 16,000 miles.
