Restoration history:
In 2011/12, the Beetle underwent a major restoration. It was ice-blasted, welding work was carried out, new underbody protection was installed (documentation in pictures on request) and a more powerful Type 1 engine with 90 hp
was installed (Bernauer: €10,000). The new engine has only run 7,000 km.
This year (2025) in May, another restoration was carried out. The floor assembly and heating were completely renewed (€11,000). An inspection was carried out and the brake pads and discs were replaced.

The following parts have been replaced in the last 5 years:
- Trunk lining in the front
- Convertible top and persening
- Interior trim
- 2 new doors (Memminger)

In May 2025 the Beetle got a new TÜV with a special certificate for the german historic number.
