Marketed as a touring car rather than a sports car, the P1800 became widely known when driven by British actor Roger Moore in the television series The Saint. And what makes this example even cooler, is that it was one of the last 20 to roll off the production line.
Finished in its original shade of Gold Metallic and paired with the typical 70’s red leather interior, she certainly looks the part. The original wheels and shining chrome front end really set her apart. She has never been restored but she has been partially repainted around 20 years ago in her original colour. Inside you will find an original interior in great condition, original owners manual, Swedish first aid kit (from the 70’s) and a lot more. You can tell that she was always someone’s pride and joy.
Mechanically, she’s ready for many great road trips. Her 4 speed overdrive gearbox is a smooth shifting example that offers refined yet sporty gear changes. She is powered by a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine that for the ‘E’-models comes with fuel injection instead of carburetors. This means that she starts up directly, even after sitting through winter. And with 115 bhp she can easily keep up with traffic. To make her ready for the next roadtrip, we have installed 4 new brake calipers, brake pads and given her a fresh service.
